Julie Henricks and Party Marty Make Waves On Air

Terre Haute: B 102.7 and the CROCK 92.7 are boasting some on air talent.  Join Julie Henricks during middays from 11 to 2 EST on B 102.7.  Can't get enough? Party Marty joined the CROCK 92.7 after 17 years on WTHI HI99 to become the Program Director and afternoon personality.  

“We are excited to have attracted two of the very best local media personalities to our family of radio stations,” stated Doug Edge the General Manager of Crossroads Communications.  Henricks has been providing weather forecasts for the Crossroads stations since August of this year.  “Julie has been doing a great job with us so we approached her about expanding her role.  Party Marty is one of those people, like Julie, that is a household name,” commented Edge.

“I am looking forward to building upon the success of the CROCK format,” stated Party Marty. 

Crossroads Communications launched the unique format that blends country and classic rock together in October of 2005.  “Party Marty is the guy who will take the station to the next level,” said Edge.

Terre Haute - On Saturday, November 11, 2006, the Indiana Broadcasters Association recognized TV and Radio stations from across the state in the 19th Annual Spectrum Awards at the Marriott Hotel, Indianapolis. Crossroads Communications owned ESPN 1130 and 1300 along with B 102.7 had 3 nominations. 

ESPN won 2^nd for their sports coverage of this years Terre Haute North vs. Terre Haute South high school football game.  The Harmonious Hedgehog commercial series won 3 rd place for Best Commercial Series.  B 102.7 was also nominated for Radio Station Personality or Team for the “Morning Buzz” hosted by Chris Carter and Doug Edge.

For 19 years the Indiana Broadcasters Association has recognized superior performance and broadcast excellence with the Spectrum Award.  Established as a venue for honoring professionals on the 'front line' of the broadcast industry, the Spectrum Award has become a highly coveted distinction among Hoosier broadcasters and is widely regarded as the state's highest honor for broadcasters.  Talent, creativity and originality combine to provide the basis for judging criteria for the honor.  Nominations alone distinguish broadcasters and stations as among the best in the state, and varying categories provide the stimulus for broad-based competition in all areas.
